My Experience

I am a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at St George’s Hospital, London, one of the leading centres for breast care in the UK. My surgical training spans over 20 years and has provided me with extensive experience across a number of renowned surgical units, culminating in advanced skills in oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery.

I graduated from University College London and completed my core and higher surgical training in London, Oxford, and the Wessex deanery. During this time, I undertook a three-year period of breast-specific research, developing key analytical and academic skills including data analysis, critical appraisal, and collaborative research. This work resulted in the production of original research, which was peer-reviewed and led to the award of a higher research degree.

Following completion of my higher surgical training, I was awarded a prestigious TIG Oncoplastic Fellowship at the Royal Free Hospital — one of only ten positions nationally. This provided an intensive period of specialist training in oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery, including collaboration with plastic surgeons on autologous breast reconstruction techniques.

In my current role at St George’s Hospital, I am part of a busy and dynamic breast unit serving the population of South West London and surrounding areas. In addition to my clinical commitments, I oversee the undergraduate breast teaching programme at St George’s Medical School and am actively involved in medical student education.

I am a proud member of the Medical Advisory Group for the breast cancer charity Coppafeel!, reflecting my ongoing commitment to patient education and breast cancer awareness.

I am GMC registered and a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
